Renewable Energy Credits

AQC works with REC buyers and sellers from large corporates to individuals seeking to fulfill compliance, corporate clean energy, net-zero, and carbon neutrality goals.

RECs

A renewable energy credit, also known as a “REC,” is a credit given to a source that generates renewable energy. As REC represents one megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity onto an electric grid. This environmental attribute is generated, and the seller may transfer or retire the REC to a buyer. Each REC has a registry, location, technology, and generation date associated with it.

Many businesses and corporations have made commitments to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from their electricity consumption. Many industries and companies are unable to install renewable electricity projects at their corporate headquarters or at their industrial facility. Renewable energy credits may be purchased or retired by companies and individuals and assist in fulfilling corporate clean energy and carbon neutrality goals.

AQC works with REC from all project types throughout the world, and pride ourselves on assisting our clients in in sourcing the renewable energy credits that best suit their needs.
